What to Expect
I use holistic and gentle body-mind approaches to assist healing a variety of issues including trauma, anxiety, depression and eating disorders.
I work primarily from a holistic, body centered perspective, but I am aware that every person and nervous system needs its own unique blend of therapy. Therefore, I use a blend of tools. My therapeutic tool bag includes: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Yoga Informed Therapy including iRest Yoga Meditation, Somatic Experiencing (SE), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS) and Mindful Self-Compassion (MSC).
We will begin by building a foundation of trust in our relationship. From that foundation, we will start to look at patterns in your life that are causing concern. These patterns can be cognitive, behavioral, physical, relational, spiritual or emotional. They often develop as coping skills in order to survive.
Working at your personal pace, we will begin to process and understand the effect of these patterns so you can make meaningful changes. I will support you as your move toward what truly matters to you.
My greatest joy is watching clients tap into their innate wisdom to achieve a deeper and greater sense of freedom, self-confidence, and connection to yourself and others.
I believe deeply that every person matters and deserves respect and love. You can trust that my office is a safe atmosphere. I welcome people of all cultures, sexual orientation, gender, race and religion.
It takes great courage to face what is in our way of living a joyful life, so I never take it for granted when someone puts their trust in me and the healing process. I look forward to sitting with you.
